“I just do not know if I can trust Trump. He has such a checkered past concerning conservative policies. He has flip flopped on more things than pancakes at IHOP.”

Perhaps, but look “how well “we’ve been doing with the “it’s my turn” GOPe! I don’t see how we could do any worse than the $hit sandwiches the GOPe has been feeding us since RR left office. In fact, if we don’t do anything about those GOPers in the Congress, Trump will have little chance of fixing things. It will not be enough just to put Trump (or maybe Cruz) in the WH. The Booshes deserve a special place in Hell for what they’ve collectively done to the country.

Because if we don’t stay and vote in the primaries, it is even more difficult to rid ourselves of these incumbent parasites. My position is, vote for the candidate in the Republican primary who is prolife and supports limited govt, etc., but then if that candidate does not win the primary, vote the conservative third party in the general election. This sends a much better message to the elites just how tenuous their hold on power really is.

Registering independent does nothing to decrease the power or eliminate the power of the Country Club/RINOs that are running the party, indeed it strengthens their position, as they see they are even less accountable to the base, and need not fear the primary. Then vote for the most conservative candidate in the general, including third party!

This makes it crystal clear to the RINOs how little support they really have, and that if they keep this up, they will lose (eventually.) If every conservative thought as you do, we would still have Cantor. If we all thought like you, McDaniel and other good conservatives would never have stood for election. While we lost McDaniel and other good conservatives, the dishonesty of the elite was exposed for all to see, and that otherwise would not have surfaced.

Allow an old lady, who first became politically aware in the days of Barry Goldwater, to be frank with you, young man (or young woman.) Going independent is a very wrong thing to do! Get yourself down to your local registrar of voters, and re-register tomorrow!

Going independent is EXACTLY what the liberal GOP elites want every single conservative to do, they do not want conservatives voting in the primaries!

the golden rule....he who owns the gold, rules...period...

our govt is owned, run, and paid for and paid back by the big banks, and the rich elite....one and the same...

thus it also has been, thus it always will be....

what's going on now though is that they're destroying OUR lives...OUR families...OUR jobs...OUR legacy....

their open and loud about it...

its not pubs nor rats, although pubs at least have some who fight the good fight...there are no rats that do....

Bernie Sanders is pretty much anti capitalist but he'll be bought and paid for eventually too...

they are not doing what they are doing out of “fear” of the media.

They are doing EXACTLY what they want!

There is only ONE political party in the US and it’s the satanic liberal one who controls the leadership of both.

Something is SERIOUSLY wrong.

Our entire government is starting to look like puppets of the Islamic satan.

Exactly, this is the kind of minutiae that most people will never hear about, never realise, to understand how they're being lied to by these so-called “conservatives”.

Cruz has been my senator and he has done or tried to do in Washington everything he promised in his state wide campaign. He has not wondered off course at all so I trust him strictly from his word and actions. He is the total package.

I do not yet feel that way with Trump. That old saying of you can tell the morals of a person with what they do when nobody is watching is true and I do not know Trump that well. He has not earned my trust as Cruz has.

<>Trump is our last hope.<>

If the fate of our country depends on the will of one man, we've transitioned from a republic of laws to some form of despotism.

Our once governing institutions have not only been corrupted from their free government purposes, they have come to serve tyranny. Congress no longer represents the collective voices of the people and states; its modern purpose is to rubber-stamp the desires and whimsies of one man, the President.

Voting, which represents the sum of a nation's electoral will, has been shown to be insufficient to restore free government. What remains is for the people to express their sovereign will through a state convention to propose constitutional amendments. Despotic powers are fast falling into the hands of one man. This must be stopped, and the way to do it is to re-federalize the government, beginning with return of the states to the senate.

Repeal the 17A. Article V NOW!

I too started out to prove Donald Trump to be a liar and coward and found out how wrong I was, and how wrong the media was in slandering him. And I was and am a Ted Cruz supporter but I realize Donald at age 69 is what we need now and Ted at age 44 has plenty of time.

Read these two posts (they are not long) and they should help settle you about the true character of Donald Trump:

I haven’t forgotten our project at all. But the omnibus budget bill just passed puts the whole republic at grave risk, so much so that if we do not get a strong tough leader like Donald Trump into the White House, efforts to structurally balance the powers between state and federal governments will not matter.

I know full well that although a leader such as President Trump will stop the madness that is going on now, it won’t last once he’s gone unless the Convention of States rises up to counter the overwrought power and corruption that has taken hold inside the Beltway. And as you allude to, the evolution of this concentrated corruption is a direct result of the effect of the 17th Amendment.

As Trump says in regards to wars in the Middle East, we can’t fight everybody at once, we have to take out the enemies we can take out first and then follow through on taking out the remainder. So we start with Trump and continue in orderly fashion with our Convention of States project. If we do not have a President Trump to restrain the Oligarchy, then our COS is buried and lost.

The goal is to reform the Constitution so that a sufficient number of state capitols can counter Washington DC’s encroachment on the freedoms and liberties of Americans. But as mentioned, the idea of state pushback may not even be possible in the next year unless an extraordinarily strong leader is able to rein in the corruption and unmitigated power. For otherwise, a very real domestic war will ensue and our project will be viewed as part of an insurrection. We will not be able to speak freely.

Rush Limbaugh calling to disband the Republican Party is a huge red flag of the emergency we are in. We can continue and even step up a COS but we may have to do so in secret, as much as possible must be kept out of view.

I’m with you. I think we have a bad case of Trump derangement syndrome going on. I will vote for him if he becomes the GOP nominee because any Dem pick means the total destruction of what is left of the republic. A Trump presidency may not work out the way the true Trump believers think it will.

Trumpism is starting to resemble a cult of personality and that’s a bad thing. The administration we have now is a cult of personality that started with Styrofoam Greek columns.

However I will say Trump perhaps will bring in many crossover votes that change the electoral college outlook. Also the chaos that will ensue will have some entertainment value.

A couple of things we should come to accept:

1) As long as Planned Parenthood’s mission is to eradicate blacks, all possible aid will be provided to do so. Outrageous violations of the law will be ignored in pursuit of that mission.

2) Spending bills that pile up fifteen figure debts for future generations are not an issue to people who know their genes will pass from this earth within the next few decades; people without children don’t care since the “grandchildren” inheriting this debt aren’t their grandchildren anyway.

Why not a “motion to vacate the chair?” There is better reason now than before with Boehner.

I am not too sure that the Republicans are honest when they imply that they are terrified of a government shutdown, or too large-minded to provoke one, and that is the reason for their compliance. That is just a ruse to give their treachery an appearance of legitimacy. They are bankrolling Obama’s treason because they are at one with him.

I agree with everything you say but, at this point, I just don’t believe the U.S. can be saved from the uber liberalism that has taken hold in places like California and New York.

These states have existing government buildings, existing elected officials and existing citizens who love to pay taxes and take home less than half their paycheck. Meaning, like the roots of a mighty oak tree, they (Liberal’s) are deeply entrenched. Conservatives have let it all happen right before their eyes over the last half century. Every now and then a lone fighter like Cruz or Sessions raises his head.

No, give them a state job doing nothing, a dog on a leash and a public park nearby; and a bike stand in front of their high rise 300 square foot apartment, and some dope, and a planned parenthood office down the block, and they are just going to be good little democrats. The USA lasted about 250 years. Not bad I guess!

Sessions IS correct. They ARE disconnected. It’s not like there’s much, or any, that debate/vote based upon the Constitution. That old document sure as hell ain’t even consulted.

The Convention of States project is using Article V of the US Constitution to organize state legislators to amend the Constitution. And it has made and continues to make good progress.

Under Article V, California and New York don’t matter because states small in population have equal power to the big states. For example, New York’s vote is equal to North Dakota’s, California’s vote is equal to Utah’s and so on. That is because it doesn’t matter what the population numbers are for any particular state because each state gets an equal power under Article V.

Note that 38 states are needed to ratify an amendment to the Constitution. Note that there are 12 states that are blue and 38 states that are red in term of their state legislatures. Note that republicans control 66 of 99 state legislative chambers (Nebraska has only one chamber). Note that it is up to state legislatures to vote under Article V, not the voters.

Just another reason why I don’t regret leaving the Republican party.

I still have my conservative principles; it’s the party that doesn’t. I don’t know how anyone with such principles can continue to identify with this party.

Important for our economy is to get govt OUT OF THE WAY. This POS fails to do that..by a long shot.

But, keeping adding to the tab. It’s not like the taxpayers won’t mind a few more trillion to the $100T+ of unfunded liabilities already. ‘They’, not you, not I, few tax cuts to offset ‘em, right?

Lastly, I fail to see how failing to write, read and debate and just pass any ‘ol thing is considered ‘off their butts and did their job’. I mean, it’s important our elite get as much on their latest ‘break’ for all the hard work they’ve done. Grabbing ones ankles MUST be exhausting...
