Charles Wysocki is my favorite painter. I have several in my living room and one in my downstairs hallway. Note that he has an American flag in almost all of his paintings!
GMTA!!!
I have a couple Wysocki “wannabes.” There used to be an outlet in my township (it’s now relocated at the WOW outlets in Greensburg) that sold art work. I have two by an artist named Linda Nelson Stocks& two small ones by someone whose name is obstructed by the matting. I love those village scenes! So much to look at and see w/happy colors! The GBurg outlet has a separate art vendor room. A couple weeks ago, when I was last there, they have Wysocki type Christmas scenes!!! There was a large one, night time, houses, carriages, people, skaters, snowmen—I looked at it so long a sales lady asked if I’d like to taken down. I told her I wish I could take it home (it was $269+tax not happening for me anytime soon).
You’d love that place! They only have a few up at a time (seasonal) but from talking to the nice sales lady they have an “inventory.”
The building itself is a dump (but they sell really cool things—known to my husband as clutter!) but you might enjoy visiting there!!!
And I go there “seasonally” to update my “dust collectors” and also supply my pretty paper napkin fondness. (Admittedly I’m odd!!!)
