No offense, but how do you NOT get the phrase “Rove-Stupid”, and there is no humor attached, but for the nimrods who fell for Rove in the first place.
I get that he thinks Rove is stupid, but it’s not Rove: stupid, it’s Rove-Stupid. Is it a play on So Stupid? That’s the only thing I can think of, and if that’s what it is it’s a bit weak. I hate things like this that I can’t figure out, it distracts me.
“Rove-Stupid” reflects a chronic condition. Like the Measles-Rash. One and the same.
Rove-Stupid are one and the same, in this context.
Like Reagan-Bush were a ticket together. Get one, you get the other with him. If Rove is there, then “stupid” is sure to be there also.
This ROVE-STUPID thing will become a new and lasting catch phrase for when anything goes wrong.
‘bout time they face the music.
Rove-Stupid reference is to classify a particular type of stupid that has run rampant in the Republican Establishment. Its much more condensed then your average stupid, which is usually diluted with some percentage of logic. Think of it as very expensive Industrial Strength Stupid Concentrate. Its should be diluted with a little common sense but inside the beltway they chug it strait from the bottle.
Thats what “Rove-Stupid” means.
Thanks, I get it a little better now!
Events and people change.
I used to be a magnificent 25 year old bastard, but sadly, that was half a century ago.
BRAVO, jocon!
M.A., — thanks, for a superior definition for the political context in which the phrase was actually used.
