About 5 years back there was an online (Ireland based) betting platform that took wagers on US political races.

They went broke. Can’t recall the name (it was not one of the longstanding UK betting houses).

And it only went bankrupt because the US decided to crack down on internet gambling at the time.

Betting platforms (bookies) generally don’t take positions on outcomes. They make money no matter who wins.
