Betsy Webb’s comments were a prime example of why our educational system is failing our kids. She’s as dumb as a pile of warm dog crap on a summer day.
We need to teach our children to become good AMERICAN citizens, not citizens of the world. As Americans, they can help others, but they should never forget who they are and how they can represent the US
I think Bangor needs a new and saner School Superintend.
Illiberal liberals are giving the USA the “Who do you think you are?” treatment. It should return the favor!
I’m pretty sure Hello Kitty is a religious symbol to some people.
I mean, not even most other world countries are going for this “global citizen” stuff, though they may croon it to the USA to try to get it to give itself to weakness.
It’s a Japanese cultural icon, though not formally tied to any faith, not even Japanese Shinto. They consider it secular.
Still it’s getting mighty feeble when the only thing that even looks like a Christmas tree that gets put up, is this pink thing.

Grow a set of balls and tell the principle to go fish.
Then call up EVERY media outlet in the country to tell of this B.S.
Yes, that’s the most frightening thing in this article....One World Government preparation classes.
You can tell she’s a liberal from a mile away
Exactly what I read and heard. Nothing but white noise. Not even a reason or point in the entire statement.
It’s extremely important to stand up to these PC bullies every time they rear their ugly heads and do it publicly so the next one will think twice before bringing the wrath of decent people down on their ugly heads.
Thank you for that. However the practice of bringing evergreen trees and boughs indoors and decorating them around the time of the Winter Solstice goes back much farther than that. The Romans did this to celebrate Saturnalia and many pagan European cultures were doing something similar before Christianity came to Europe.
Agreed, of course. Evergreens have a certain totemic value for staying green in winter wherever winters are cold. However, the question is whether, after 2,000 years of Christianity, people recognize the evergreen tree displayed in late December as linked to Christmas. And the answer is that they do, whether they are Christian or anti-Christian. What these or those pagans may have done a few millennia ago isn't crowding anyone's memory banks.
Here's a fun fact I uncovered a few years ago while researching an article: The Roman Winter Solstice holiday in honor of the return of the sun turns out to have been an invention by the Emperor of that time to compete with the annoyingly popular, not to mention illegal, celebration of Christmas.
A generation spoon-fed liberal propaganda, set up to be useful idiots for the Antichrist.
Avoidance of Bible Prophecy teaching, substitution of things for Christianity, including denominationalism, the MSM calling what O and company do as ‘christian’, isolating Israel, pretending islam and Christianity/Judaism both came from Abraham, etc. etc.
It’s having a real effect.
I’ve been around several “seminary” students who were fed lots of garbage by their professors, all spouting liberal, in fact, antichrist garbage. Pushing ‘new revelations’ that are, in fact, just old lies.
“Well that’s your problem right there you fascist superintendent whore! This is supposed to be America, land of the free, not the land of the global citizen. We are supposed to be instilling the values of life liberty and the American way into our children, not liberal mediocrity and disdain for all things even remotely connected to Christianity.”
Well said.
