Correct; anyway, the Kurds have their own news site for anyone really interested in finding out more:
PKK is listed as a terrorist group by the USA; but they probably should NOT be from what I can tell. Still, PKK uses the hammer and sickle as their symbol. Also, PKK has been kicked out of Iraqi Kurdistan by the ruling powers there; also, strangely enough, there were reports that Turkish forces were training and helping Kurds in Iraq near Mosul; but that could be erroneous information.
