And for me, character still matters even if many of Trump’s supporters don’t think it does. In this regard, some of them are no different that Clinton supporters.

“W” refused to engage his critics, no matter the criticism.
“W” had lots of “character”.
It also bears noting that the 'Rats never let any criticism of them and their Anointed One go unanswered. They are out there within minutes of any criticism firing back, mostly attacking the person (and a nod to you, Saul Alinsky) and not the policy or issue. The Clintons are experts at this. They have their goons out there ready to club into a pulp anyone who challenges them. Trump seems to be at least not taking it lying down. I think that is a good thing for our side to learn.
Ohhh he had so much ‘character’ he couldn’t wait to turn this beautiful nation over to illegals.....
....’doing the job Americans ( those he swore to protect and defend) won’t do’
If that’s character, I have a nice piece of Florida swampland to sell you!
If Trump quit tomorrow (as most of the political class wishfully think he will) he has already done this country a great service by laying bare the corrupt beltway-media omerta. He is a leader and anyone can talk Shiite about whatever, but you can’t change facts!
‘’W refused to engage his critics, no matter the criticism.
W had lots of character.’’
Did you forget the “sarcasm” tag? Bush 43 needed to engage — no, DESTROY — his critics at every opportunity, and swiftly. His wussiness was not an asset; it was a liability to him and his party. Trump will not roll over. Being a doormat does not display “character”.
