BTW, how does someone get a PhD in these kinds of fields?
Usually you have to DEFEND your thesis to obtain such degrees.
If you are a mathematics PhD candidate, you better come armed with knowledge, because you are going to get grilled into dust by the professorial committee.
I guess with a stupid degree in a stupid subject matter, you just spew nonsense, and the committee simply nods in agreement.
