Obama Poised to Use Executive Orders to Attack Gun Rights
The New American ^ | December 29, 2015 | Steve Byas

The Obama administration is giving every signal that the president is poised to make use once again of an executive order to require all persons "in the business" of selling any firearm to perform a background check.

While no one disputes the constitutional authority of a president to issue an executive order to direct members of the executive branch to enforce a law passed by Congress, the Constitution says nothing about a president - the executive branch - making law by himself. Article I of the U.S. Constitution is explicit: "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

It’s past time to throw his lawless ass is jail. America isn’t Kenya or Indonesia.

Executive orders are NOT law. And as such I will ignore every single one of them.

Only Kings issue decrees as law.

Let the man stand trial before the Senate to explain his belief that he has such power.

Meh. How does one respond to an illegally penned law?

Ignore it.

Just highlighted on Fox Business, a new California law that allows cops to grab your guns on the say so of family or neighbors who claim you might be a danger to yourself or others. Requires a judge’s approval and is supposed to be only temporary. But we know that judges have biases and temporary can become permanent.

That will never happen. In fact, I will be willing to go out on a limb and say that most the members of the Senate agree with his actions. I would opine that no more that three, and that is a very conservative estimate, disagree with the actions he has taken since he assumed power. The Democrats surely are not going to oppose him and if you think that the Republicans will stand up to him, you are in for a rude awakening. He could, and probably will, in the future announce to both Houses of Congress, that for which reason he chooses, that he is cancelling the election and remaining in office, “until order is restored”, or that he is nullifying the results of the election, for whatever reason he chooses and is remaining in power , “until order is restored”. He would receive standing ovations from every member of Congress of both political parties. That is how deep Obama worship runs in Congress.

This author borrows the gun grabbers argument to explain the “gun show loophole”. That’s a bad idea when you are trying to preserve the rights of law abiding citizens.

There is no gun show loophole, that’s a myth. Licensed firearms dealers must complete a Federal background check when conducting a sales transaction. Private sellers are not required to do so. The inconvenient fact is that very, very few private transactions occur at gun shows. The rent for a table at most gun shows discourage a private seller wanting to sell his grandfather’s shotgun at a gun show. The tables are run by licensed dealers and they conduct a background check.

I will be surprised if Obama even finishes his term in office. His *popularity* is dropping rapidly...

...and the national stage has been set by the leftists for many unpleasant and *unexpected consequences* in 2016.

Another week, another power grabbing EO. Trump better have a team together who’s only job is to create a list of EOs and Bills he needs to defeat on his first day in office.
