Governmental distortion is the rule and increasing steadily. We are passing through a pseudo mercantilist phase wherein a declining number of corporations with government patents corner most of the assets of the society and the middle class sinks into the proletariat. Ultimately this leads to either real imperialism to gain exclusive access to foreign marketsas the domestic market disapears or to collapse, ultimately both in succession.
From excessive taxation to overregulation to crony capitalism, government involvement in the market only hurts the economy. it should be held to the absolute bare minimum.
