True dat (your last sentence). It killed her plans to run for Mikulski’s US Senate seat. I think it also nipped in the bud the miscalculating and stupid Baltimore State’s Attorney’s political future.

That’s because she’s got bigger plans:

Rawlings-Blake has a budding national profile, as secretary of the Democratic National Committee and vice president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. She is considering a run for the U.S. Senate to succeed retiring Democrat Barbara Mikulski, saying it is important for Baltimore to have continued political strength. Rawlings-Blake has also been mentioned as a possible candidate for Maryland governor in 2018.
