That’s what I don’t get. Why would you want to force someone to do this. I would want an experienced Dr doing it.

The ACLU used to do quite a lot of good at one time, working for religious freedom. These days, do they ever help out anyone but Muslims, racists, Satanists, or baby killers?

Another "right" I don't see enumerated anywhere in the Constitution. As opposed to the clearly stated right to the free exercise of one's religion.

I do not know what law schools ACLU lawyers got indoctrinated at, but the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect womens right to contraception.

Note that even if the states make 10th Amendment-protected laws which establish such a right, it remains that the 14th Amendment prohibits the states from abridging constitutional rights, 1st Amendment-protected religious freedom in this example.

14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

With out health care providers out there, why should Catholic hospitals be singled out like this.

Is it a law all hardware stores have to sell hammers?

Do all restaurants have to sell steak?

Do all politicians have to have a brain? LOL

One good way NOT to need an abortion is not to hacve sex, another is to buy Condoms and use them.Another good way is to abstain from sex and show some responsibility.

I was not aware that Dignity Health was Catholic. I thought they changed their name to avoid oversight by Bishop Olmstead in Phoenix.

70 miles is the closest to find a willing provider? Really? That makes no sense unless this is the middle of nowhere. I live in Podunk and there are 3 hospitals within 20 miles! Not to mention, other medical facilities. If I need some care, I want someone who is willingly providing it.

My 3rd (and last) child was born in a Catholic Hospital 1992. They wouldn’t due a tubal right after the birth. The Dr was affiliated with another hospital and we scheduled it. NO BIG DEAL!

Epilogue: The day of the procedure my wife had a cold and the hospital said the procedure couldn’t be done. My wife thought it was a “sign” from God. I wound up getting a vasectomy. What a boner! NOT! lol

This suit should be thrown out of court with prejudice and the plaintiff and her lawyers forced to pay attorneys’ fees and punitively fined !
