One side says it was set to control fire. The other says it was to cover up a crime.

*************

In either case they started a fire. They were charged but given a lesser than specified sentence
for being guilty. They served their sentenced time and now the authorities are saying they need to
serve the minimum time as specified within the law.

Just watched a youtube about the natural gas and uranium that was discovered under this land in the 1980s. Actually all over eastern Oregon, and most the ranchers were forced out. How dare these people fight to keep their land... don’t they care about the “common good”!

Wow ... your sure do twist stuff around.

We disagree about this incident. I think these guys who were convicted of starting a fire were in the wrong and should serve time. Even *they* are willing to serve time for their actions.

The Bundy boys are outside agitators and are not there to do anything but stir up trouble. I do not believe the Bundys will find too many locals to support them w/ this ill conceived plan. IMO ... the Bundys picked the wrong incident in the wrong place.

Please take the time and make the effort to quote what you are talking about. At this point, with so many random non-directed replies it is impossible to unravel. I always go the extra mile to be specific and quote fully, it is the least to be expected in time-staggered conversation.

If you are replying to #256 then you just breezed through it without understanding. I was asking what form of "read" was in the sentence ( rhymes with 'deed' or 'red' ? ) as it was pivotal to understanding you. I was actually trying to understand you, unlike yourself who didn't return the courtesy.

I then assumed you meant "read" ( rhymes with 'deed' ) which would imply you will not look at stuff beyond court documents. Fine, your choice. But just say that, admit you don't care what the story is here and merely care what the FedGov crooks have slipped past the court.

The actual people being sentenced aren’t the ones trespassing, at present. They want nothing to do with the trespassers.

Understand that perfectly. I was only going back to the
orginal conflict, fires and trial.

There’s no such thing as a “state” being “addicted”. It is the politicians and people of the state who are such. And it is up to the people of the state to detox themselves and elect AND TRACK responsive and responsible representatives who will wean the state away from accepting federal funds and acquiescing to tyranny. The time is ripe to see this happen.

Regardless, constitutional state sovereignty is certainly something we who believe in freedom and our Free Constitutional Republic should be fighting for, not arguing against.

Washington, Hamilton and the Federalists passed the tax. Jefferson and the Republicans opposed the tax. When the Republicans took control of the federal government, they repealed it in 1802.

Whoever allowed the use of the statute under which the Hammonds were prosecuted belongs in jail.

Not sure what you’re waiting for .. but hope you had some nice food and beverages while you were waiting.

Look, we disagree about this subject of the Bundys. If you want to declare yourself a winner on this topic, have at it.

Have a great weekend and go Seahawks!

Not sure what you’re waiting for...

There were more tortoises on Bundy's ranch because of cattle grazing. The Hammonds do a better job of running that range than FedGov. The reason the agencies want them off is oil and gas. You are complicit.
