As Rush as stated, if Trump can’t beat Hillary, and if Trump is beating Bush, why does Bush think he can beat Hillary?
Well, Jeb knows that the Republican establishment will do their best to sabotage Trump if he becomes the candidate, so Jeb thinks that Trump won’t be able to defeat both Clinton and the GOPe. On the other hand, Jeb hopes he will be able to get votes from the moderates as well as the conservatives like George W. did.
What if the GOPe decided to play hardball? They would say to conservatives: You may not like our policies very much, but you have nowhere to go. We will grant amnesty to illegal immigrants, but we will let you live. You are playing with fire if you think we will let Trump win. If the Democrats win both Congress and the Presidency, they will destroy you. They will ban homeschooling, they will take away your children, they will prosecute orthodox Christians for spreading hate, etc. We are the only ones who can stop this.
I don’t think the GOPe are as crazy as that, but who knows.
