Also, some primaries are set up for either one or the other party ballot, so Dems that vote for Trump wouldn’t be able to vote in the Dem primary. Texas is set up this way, but prior party registration isn’t required. This would affect local/state primary contests.

That is Ohio's set up too. And it looks like the cross over is going to be, pardon the word, YUGE.

You just walk into the polling place and they ask you republican or democrat ballot? They do not ask for id. though.
