I don’t know about you but it makes me wonder why someone is pushing the Clinton/dem “Bush lied” and there were no WMDs in Iraq.

To answer that question, I would have to know who that 'someone' is.

(Not that I could definitively state why someone else did something, but at least I would be able to form an opinion)

DoD Report: 50 Trucks Carried Iraqi WMD To Syria

Now Syria raises the spectre of chemical weapons

Israel and Hezbollah Keep Up Attacks

"The Israeli military said its targets included a convoy of trucks carrying weapons into Lebanon's Bekaa Valley from Syria "

Saddam Hussein had WMD after all

"Saddam Hussein certainly had WMD many years before Operation Iraqi Freedom. "

"To make the case for war in 2002 and 2003, General Colin Powell and others told the United Nations Security Council that the US Air Force had evidence of an active chemical-biological warfare program in Iraq. Among other things, Powell showed the UN diagrams of mobile laboratories, built into truck trailers, for mixing chemical and biological weapons in the field. (You cannot mix chemical or biological WMD in advance. You must mix them fresh and use them right away, or they are useless.)"

"If you go back to January through March of 2003, we had intelligence in the Defense Department that the Russians helped move, by convoy, a lot of the chemical and biological weapons into two locations in Syria and one in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. We think Russia and Iran have enhanced their inventory. The vast majority of those chemical and biological weapons were from Iraq "

John Shaw, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Technology Security, said Russian Spetsnaz units moved WMDs out of Iraq into Syria and the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon to conceal Russia's role in supplying Saddam with materials and know-how to produce biotoxins, especially weaponization of anthrax, botulism and smallpox. Other major WMDs were VX nerve gas and mustard gas.

"Iraqi Gen. Georges Sada published a book entitled "Saddam's Secrets" (2005-06) saying that there were 56 flights by large aircraft (civilian converted to cargo) from Iraq to Syria carrying WMDs, and also ground convoys of trucks just before the invasion. Syrian journalist Nizar Nayouf pinpointed locations in Syria of WMD storage areas. "

First, I'm not sure Trumpinator is a Trump supporter.

Second, I haven't seen any Trump supporters claiming Bush lied. I haven't noticed any Cruz supporters doing so either. How would making that claim be supportive of either Trump or Cruz ?

Saddam Hussein says he wished he hadn't sent all those chemical weapons to Syria.....that he could have used them against us and he would probably still be alive now.

I knew the dead could vote, but I didn't know they could speak.

DoD Report: 50 Trucks Carried Iraqi WMD To Syria Sweetness & Light ^ | July 28, 2006 | N/A Posted on 7/28/2006, 4:42:19 PM by Sam Hill The following is a translation of a newly posted Iraqi document done by an unofficial translator.

All these original reports tend to be BS. SSweetness & Light, indeed.

Saddam Hussein had WMD after all - that link is not a credible link at all for news or intel. Some blogger trying to defend Bush's going to war reasons.

And this was BS: "If you go back to January through March of 2003, we had intelligence in the Defense Department that the Russians helped move, by convoy, a lot of the chemical and biological weapons into two locations in Syria and one in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. We think Russia and Iran have enhanced their inventory. The vast majority of those chemical and biological weapons were from Iraq "

Again, based on no credible source and looking for excuses to paint Bush's reasons for war in a good light.

If indeed they did go to Syria why did Bush and or his people state that it did not happen?

The author of the article you linked to said it didn't happen.

President Bush never said it didn't happen.

President Bush never said it didn’t happen - yes he did - the final status of the WMD investigation pretty much stated Saddam had no more WMD program after the first Gulf War. It was all a bluff from then on.

EXACTLY THE SAME could be said about the source in the link you provided... WIRED.COM.

Yeah.... when you want military or political info, WIRED.COM is the place to go (/s).

When you say WMD, do you mean nuclear weapons only ?

No, the W admin stated it too.

Oh, you mean Karl Rove ?

Saddam after WW2 had no active WMD.

Not sure whether you goofed there, or are trying to make us all laugh.

BTW, I try not to forget to say this when in the midst of an active debate.

I appreciate your comments and the opportunity to debate this issue. I always learn something from these type of exchanges, and hope you do the same. Happy New Year to you and yours.

I don't see how 'final status of WMD investigation' equates to 'Bush stated'.

No arguments with anyone on this - I just think these are old stories that after years later we kind of know now what Iraq was up to.

Syria had it sown chemical weapons. But in this case ISIS is making them fresh from chemicals they buy in Turkey.
