Mark my words....

The day after a Republican POTUS is sworn in the Democrats will suddenly re-discover the Constitution, and become it’s most vocal defenders.

The point is that the executive branch has accumulated enormous despotic powers since FDR.

The next prez may be effective (Trump), or perhaps benevolent and mindful of his constitutional duties (Cruz), or an Alinskyite hag (The Beast),but one thing is certain; in January 2017, America will replace one despot with another.

"During the height of the Watergate hearings, Alan Cranston, a Democratic senator from California, made an awkward admission: "Those who tried to warn us back at the beginnings of the New Deal of the dangers of one-man rule that lay ahead on the path we were taking toward strong, centralized government may not have been so wrong."

Well Jonah....you buy the ticket, you take the ride...

“...the one guy who is taking it to 0/GOPe ...”

I’ve been saying that for a while now, myself... folks out here have been waiting for someone to fight back. Well, Trump is not only fighting back, he’s going on the offense, and it’s STILL not good enough?? WTF...

As a youth baseball coach, I used to tell my teams “Losing, like quitting, sucks”.

I think some people just got used to losing and have now idea HOW to win.

Newsflash to those people: losing STILL sucks, and there’s too much at stake to lose again.

I wasn’t aware Trump ever one man ruled anyone or plans to.

It will certainly seem that way, and be claimed that's the case, if/when he blanket undoes all of Obama's EOs. The Dems hope that all of those EOs have so worked their way into agency regulations and procedures that they can't be undone. It will take strong action to reverse the mess they've created, let alone move ahead.

The GOP front-runner isn’t openly contemptuous of the Constitution; it just doesn’t enter his thinking very much. If he believes something is worth doing, he says he will do it. He makes little effort to explain how he will get Congress to agree, never mind write the laws the president is supposed to faithfully execute. And that’s the way Trump’s fans like it.
Truer words never spoken. If he were to be elected his supporters would be shocked. And the pubbies would gleefully help the dems take him to impeachment and throw him out.

Trump is the most “law and order” type of guy running.

If we get upset with him about anything it will be his refusal to be unlawful.

He came out FOR the law in the Hammond family case and FOR the law in Kim Davis case and took considerable flack for it.

Would I have preferred different answers from him in both cases? Yes, but I can’t argue with a candidate saying we need to follow the law. I can only argue with those that made bad laws or those, currently in office, who refuse to work to change them.

The ONLY candidates that will have an agreeable congress are GOPe candidates.

So you are saying we should just give u because congress won;t like either Trump or Cruz?

By the way, your mind reading skills need a little work.

Donald Trump is the only presidential candidate who is not on someone’s “payroll”. Every other candidate needs to sound presidential, but cannot stray from the ideas of those payrolling his run for the presidency. I’ve been wondering how many meetings the senators, running for the presidency, have missed. We see them everywhere.

Jonah just can’t let go. He’s stuck in denial and anger. Its too bad Andrew Breitbart one of his best friends is not here to help him through to acceptance.

Even though I suspect Andrew would be backing Cruz I still think he would have gotten a kick out of Donald.

I think Johnna was dropped on his head as a baby and has never gotten over it...

If he thinks, or anyone else for that matter, that obuma is anything better than a piece of crap laying in the gutters of all American Streets, he and they are totally insane...

And due to restrictions on language and other things, I will not go any further....

“He has a right to his opinion just like you”

And I just expressed mine. Do you have a problem with that?

I guess you have a right to be led around by the GOPe too. Because that’s who Jonah Goldberg is.

Jonah, I don't believe Trump would trash the Constitution like Obama has... or become a thug like Obama's became OR have a party behind him that's comprised of criminal type jerks who stomp on the Constitution with joy... all in the name of efficiency..

Noooooo, not really....

But if Trump did make that choice... May I suggest the following executive orders (and 'etc' - if you get what I mean')

Stick the IRS on all Liberal groups seeking nonprofit status. Audit those who won't hand over their donor lists.

Sign an order requiring ALL citizens over the age of 21 to own a gun.

End the current education system and replace it with charter schools and 'choice'... NOT by law, but by pen.

Then pick up the pen again and abolish all teachers' unions..

Abolish Obamacare with the stroke of a pen.

Why wait for Congress? Isn't that what Democrats say? Why wait for the slow pace of the people's Representatives? They don't get it... PEOPLE LIKE US WANT TO GET THINGS DONE.

When Congress is slow we'll steamroll them... write our own friggin' laws... like Obama did. Turn about's fair play, right?

OK, that said, I really don't want our guy to be a big Totalitarian jerk like Obama. Not really. Maybe for the first few months so democrats can get a taste of what horrible citizens they've been .. but after that let's stay within the Constitution.

Oh, and Jonah, why didn't YOU and your friends in the press scream more about Obama's over-reach? Rather than cover for him?
