Prove that his father was a US citizen at the time of his birth..(What!..Oh!..look over there!).

Everyone is hung up on Mom’s citizenship as being the smoking gun..she was a citizen all along..non-issue.
The citizenship of the father is also a player, as is the place of birth...

It is well known that his father was not a US citizen at the time. And it is also equally well known that the fact that his father was not a citizen has no impact on Ted's status. Ted is a US citizen at birth through his mother - that is all that is required.
