Ignore it and make fun of people — just like Obama successfully did and does. So, it seems, this is way to make the constitution go away. I'm sorry to say, but clearly, Cruz, like Obama, Jindahl, and Rubio are not eligible. But it seems this does not matter anymore. We, the people, can decide it does matter, whether it is a guy we like, or one we don't. We should not vote for any one who does not meet Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, eligibility requirements. We ignored the question of Obama’s citizenship to our peril. Let us not make that mistake ever ever again! Let us never again elect a president who does not have 2 citizen parents and who was not born on American soil (with the sole exception if the parents are overseas in the defense of our country.) If we ignore this issue, we legitimate Obama, and we will see further and further erosion of the constitution on this issue and every other issue. The next step I suppose will be allowing naturalized citizens to be president, then 18-year-olds to be president, and ultimately people who never stepped foot in this country to be president; he/she can just be president because he is a great person and a bunch of people with no real loyalty to this country, who came here, likely illegally, want this, or else this non-citizen can be president because our side thinks he is such a great constitution lover and will fix things. Now, is time to stop this, for the sake of our future generations. Are we, or are we not, a sovereign people with a national identity?

Precedent Obama has rendered that clause moot.
Under the current definition of simply being born a citizen, if even only on one’s mother’s side, makes every anchor baby and Winston Churchill eligible. (his mother was an American)

I went to school in the 1960’s and was taught that natural born citizen was a subset of citizen and required only for the office of President. Must be born here to citizen parents. Reading the writings of the people who wrote the Constitution confirms this. They wanted no divided allegiance. If you could be anything other than a U.S. citizen, you can’t be a natural born citizen. No foreign births, no foreign parents.

Many people wanted the definition changed for various reasons.

Oh, It’s you again. Why are you such a racist, such a hater. Guess ignorance and bigotry know no boundaries. Mostly, they come together. But, then there are also those that are demonically possessed and want to destroy anyone who disagree with them. But in your case it is simple. You are simply a moron.

Thank you for that statement, oh I so wish people could see the danger of this and the lack of integrity of someone who is running like this. No one who has any concern for our Constitution and our way of life would attempt to do this to our country.

Apparently it is not clear to people who deal with these issues for a living. Every legal and constitutional expert who has looked at this, both conservative and liberal disagrees with you and the other birthers.
