Storm Clouds Form: Bob Woodward Compares Hillary Scandal to Watergate (FBI revolt brewing)
National Review ^ | January 10, 2016 | John Fund

Hillary Clinton's e-mail scandal has been a difficult one for the public to understand and for journalists to explain. But Bob Woodward, the Washington Post reporter who helped uncover Watergate 40 years ago, clarified things a lot on Fox News Sunday today when he said that an e-mail in the most recently released batch shows Hillary trying to "subvert the rules" that she expected others to follow.

A few days earlier, Joe DiGenova, a well-respected former district attorney for the District of Columbia, told The Laura Ingraham Show that "there is vitriol of an intense amount developing" in the intelligence community and that FBI agents "are already in the process of gearing themselves to basically revolt if [the Justice Department] refuses to bring charges" against either Hillary Clinton or her former State Department staffers.

Only 23 percent of independents view her as "honest and trustworthy" in the latest Quinnipiac poll. Other Democrats, including Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren, would be remiss if they weren't preparing a Plan B in case this number dips even lower, making her a more vulnerable general-election candidate.

“I’ve predicted here, and will again. Obama will issue her a pardon for the email problem. “

He can only pardon her for a CRIME. Which means post trial. Can’t do a “whatever that thing was” pardon.

This is what the 'revolt' looks like: The FBI comes forward with massive amounts of material that point to a situation that calls for action.

The AG turns it down for political reason - forever thereafter tarnishing her name and reputation.

Citizens read about the information through leaks to Drudge etc.

People turn away from Clintons in drove...

Democrat politicians realize Clinton (who's lost power by this point) is going to take them down with her...it IS an election year after all - and they bolt.

Republican are flooding the airwaves with the story - planning on taking over a bunch of new House and Senate seats... maybe some State Legislatures the sky's the limit..

Biden gets in - Kerry gets in - but it's too late... they make major gaffs... the New York Times gives up defending the mess...

Obama looks around - decides he's standing alone - throws the AG under the bus... his legacy falling apart over Hillary and he doesn't even like Hillary... At that point it's O-VAR for the Clintons... Obama pardons Hillary - and Bill ... the country's wounded for years... The MSM - - that part that stood with Hillary are ruined... Republicans take over for the next 40 years.

That's ‘the revolt’..

Hillary has been playing the “dumb ass” card since this thing started.

But as we found out over the weekend, she knew exactly what steps were needed to make a classified document appear to be just another sheet of paper on an unsecured FAX machine.

A question: Does anyone else think Hillary wear those huge jackets to cover up her use of adult diapers?

We need to ask Hillary a “Bill Clinton” question: Do you wear briefs, boxers or Depends?

“They have dirt on Obama.”

So does the intelligence community.
They know things she doesn’t.
And H & O have peaked, soon to fade into oblivion. They, however, have The Business to run and lives (their own & others) to protect, long careers ahead.

“The irony is delicious.”

It sure is. I think this is one reason why Bernie is creeping up on Hillary. Bernie can thank Trump for his rise in the polls.

Nope. Ford pardoned Nixon for "whatever he did", warding off the painful circus of a trial preemptively.

“If it gets too intense, I see some state dept. lackey being sacrificed before her highness.”

The prosecutor can throw the case - the Clintons did this before during the BJ Administration, when they were selling out national security intelligence to the Chinese for money.

When John Huang was caught, they gave him immunity from the serious charges, to testify against his secretary - a clueless, low-wage employee with no suspicious connections or income.

Nicely put. Whether it is or isn’t in the Obama’s interest to subvert Hillary’s run, they’re NOT on the same team - so forget the “automatic total preemptive pardon” stuff going around, he’ll pardon her ONLY if it serves his purpose _and_ keeps her tribe subordinate to his own.

Don’t forget that the FBI fronts the intelligence community, which is generally disinterested in such turf wars but will beat the snot out of anyone (with a .45 thru the sinus cavity if necessary) who puts them at risk - which Hillary did. So: insofar as “FBI stages a revolt”, that’s not just a kabuki dance role, they’ll mean it.

The only thing that makes sense to me, is that Obama is in truth a CIA operative, and has been going back to even his Harvard days. Otherwise, you’re telling me our CIA/FBI Masod etc doesn’t know the truth about the guy?

I agree with you; I think the FBI agents will be used by the bureaucrats above them, but they themselves are playing it straight.

Who do you think the 'intelligence community' is siding with?

Of course the Obama is _not_ a CIA operative.
He’s a MB operative. Everything he does makes perfect sense if you assume he’s working to create a Caliphate.

The FBI agents will be used by the bureaucrats above them only insofar as the latter are not doing stupid things that get agents killed - like storing classified emails on unsecured unmonitored servers.
