Ted Cruz’s eligibility and Donald Trump’s concerns aside, what I’d really like to know are the thoughts of FReepers regarding the NECESSITY of this particular clause today.
Is it still needed? or should it be amended?
How can anyone who’s lived through seven nightmarish Obama years ask that question? He is the exact kind of citizen the Founders wanted to prevent worming their way into the WH, and destroying the country from within.
I believe the current administration as clearly, unequivocally, and unambiguously demonstrates that the singular office of president of these United States MUST only be held by someone with no HINT no Scintilla of divided loyalties.
Case in point: obama rejected the Keystone pipeline for years and just recently approved financial support for an oil pipeline in Kenya...

Obama has been president for seven years, and you think there is a question of the wisdom of the requirement? That is not taking into consideration just the common sense of the requirement.
No changes to the Constitution! And I think the proper interpretation of the NBC clause should be born to two parent citizens. Personally, I don’t think location of birth is a concern.
