No. As much as I despised Muammar Gaddafi, Libya was less of a danger under him than it is today. We cannot take out Assad unless we have high confidence that it will make the situation better. Odds are it would make the situation far worse. I cannot imagine what motivates fools to support such a stupid idea.
I have never understood the bipartisan obsession with Assad.
Second to withdrawing all the troops from Iraq, arming anti-Assad rebels did more than anything to bring about IS.
