... It not only was Cruz’s strongest moment in any debate, it was Trump’s weakest moment yet.

You must be smoking crack. Trump dominated that debate.

I don't think anybody won, but I think Rubio cut Cruz deeply.

A Cruz supporter would not be moved. But there are a whole bunch of people out there just starting to get interested...and are not committed to any candidate. I think Rubio likely won some of them over and damaged Cruz in their eyes.

Rubio shows himself adept at the quick shot, lumping so many things together as it's impossible to refute it all in 1.5mins.

Trump mentioned "conservatives from New York with New York values."

Trump might not know much about Buckley, that his dad was from Brazos, TX and mom from New Orleans and they never lived in New York, homeschooled all their 10 children, while living mostly in South America and England, though did own homes in both CT and South Carolina, which Bill Buckley loved and spent as much time there as possible!

After 8th grade, Bill Buckley attended boarding school in England, so not much NY values seeped into Bill's character.

Devoutly Catholic, Buckley was for traditional values of life and traditional marriage, again, he veered sharply with the very liberal values of his fellow New Yorkers, who all seem to catch the liberal notion that the rest of the country agrees with them!
