Obama to propose new unemployment insurance plan in budget
Washington Post ^ | 01/16/2016 | Steven Mufson

President Obama will include a new wage insurance scheme in his budget next month that would provide supplemental payments to workers who lose their jobs and end up taking new ones at lower salaries.

The wage insurance payments could temporarily cushion the financial blow to displaced middle-class workers, including those hurt by free trade, globalization and technological change.

The president's budget proposal will also include other new protections for others who lose their jobs and training plans to help them get back to work quickly.

The White House said Saturday that the wage insurance plan would replace half of a worker’s lost wages, up to $10,000 over two years, for those earning up to $50,000 a year.

Obama has added more debt than all previous administrations combined and accounting for inflation.

At this point - obama could care less about even more debt

1. Unemployment insurance depends on a person having worked and put into it.
2. It's also NOT never-ending. It DOES end.

They are just words. If one gets THAT upset over words, then one really needs to get out more often.

Then again, if one is willing to become totally dependent on the State, one can rack in over $34K in housing, benefits, and cash ...

“The White House said Saturday that the wage insurance plan would replace half of a worker’s lost wages, up to $10,000 over two years, for those earning up to $50,000 a year.”

This is such a pitch to the lower class; I guess $50K is the drone salary agreed upon by our overlords. Here in the NYC metro area the worst damage was caused by people making more than that losing their jobs; maybe they’ll get a voice in November. $50K in the NYC metro area is not much at all; without government wealth transfers, few earning that would even be able to live here - property taxes alone in many cases can run $10K, and NYC has a city income tax as well.

It is for immigrants. This is shut up money for citizens that lost their jobs to immigrants and foreigners.
