What's with this heroin stuff? Sounds like another jihadi plot. Half the population of Iran is high on drugs and Afghanistan exports the noxious stuff. We're losing our youth.

never understood Petraeus’ non-burning of the Taliban heroin fields except the CIA wanted Russia to suffer, too.

Heroin is the drug opiate addicts get addicted to eventually. Most of them start out being prescribed pain killers by doctors because America has a “pain problem.” That turns into a powerful addiction and for some heroin is the cheapest alternative to burning through prescription meds.

Heroin is a major cash crop for Jihadists, but there is not nearly as much of that here in the U.S. as the Mexican tar. The Mexican drug cartels have taken over the U.S. heroin trade so Trump is right with his comments that sealing the border will make heroin less plentiful in our nation.

Just my opinion, but if our nation wakes up to the heroin problem the solution must begin with our pain management protocols through the American Medical Association. Doctors have unwittingly contributed greatly to this problem.

It’s raging through the white working class, coming from Sinoloa Mexico, and Obama has totally ignored it because he hates the white working class.

Heroin is evil stuff, you can’t shake that addiction.

The Government tightened up controls on prescription opiates, so heroin from down south fills the vacuum.

You would have thought America would have learned its lesson with Heroin in the 60s and 70s, but no...The grandparents of the new wave of addicts are the ones who recall that.

Even smaller towns are hit by this. One in ND had 9 ODs on the stuff, 1 fatal, in one weekend.

The dealers don't care--for them it's all about the money--and the wreckage extends far beyond the individual addicted.

I like the Singapore solution, myself.

I thought too, El Chapo, the Sinaloa Cartel are big into exporting heroin into the US, I think he said that in the recent interview with Sean Penn.

When you dig deeper, you find “heroin” is a catch all term for opiods in general. The foundation of the problem is pharmaceutical painkillers, but its not polite to point that out.

My son’s good friend died of an overdose. Kid was a great student and one of the most liked in their fraternity. He’d go home to Baltimore and shoot up. Never at school, but just when he went home and was around certain kinds of people.

Saddest thing I’ve ever seen ...a perfectly good young man, just ruined.
