On Monday's holiday celebrating Martin Luther King Jr., both Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith announced they would not be attending the Academy Awards to protest a second straight year without a black actor receiving a single nomination. They did this in sheer rejection of Reverend King's stated dream of a colorblind society where a man or woman is not judged based on the color of his or her skin.
Will Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett likewise denounce the BET Awards?P
