Plain has been after the GOPe since the end of the 2008 election. She probably sees Trump as the best chance to wind and reduce their influence. She likes Cruz but probably does not believe he can either win or stand up to the forces he will face if nominated. Sarah has faced that fire.
I view her take on the race much like I do those of us who have served in the military and been under fire. Their is an experience one receives that cannot be learned by reading a book.
