That's odd because in the past 3 years, mine has quadrupled in price and coverage has been reduced to worse-than-HSA condition with a 4 thousand dollar deductible... 100% coming out of my pocket before even one dime is paid out. That comes out to almost 15 grand per year for a family of 4. It's almost worth not having at all at his point.
8 years ago, I was paying 250/mo for a straight 80/20 plan that went 100% at 3000 dollars.

Monthly health care premiums for my wife and I went from $650/m pre-ACA to $1,400/m. That’s quite a “reduction”.

15,000/12 = 1250 per month 250 per month - 1250 per month = -1000 per month.
Professor Hillary sez:
You're MAKING 1000 dollars more a month than you were 8 years ago.
You should be paying taxes on that. And on the deductible, too - just as a matter of Leftist principle, because you might have to pay it out, and if you don't, then that's income, too.
