April 1, 2016 is the release date of the sequel.
The sequel has the same pastors from the first film and a few other characters in small roles.
But the new main plot has new characters and is about a teacher being sued by the ACLU.
Several books mentioned in the film are on my reading list. One is by a cold case detective who examined the gospels from that perspective.
Don’t want to spoil anything. It’s as good as the first film and raises important issues.
