Carly Fiorina to Speak at ‘Pro-Life, Pro-Woman’ March for Life Rally in D.C.

Carly Fiorina will be the only presidential candidate invited to speak at the 2016 March for Life rally because, according to the event’s president, she embodies the theme of this year’s march: “Pro-Life and Pro-Woman Go Hand-In-Hand.”

“Mrs. Fiorina was asked to speak because she embodies the theme particularly well; she will speak only to the theme, not her candidacy,” Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, said in a statement to Breitbart News, during an election year in which the pro-life base of the GOP can tout many strong candidates who believe in the sanctity of human life.

“The March for Life does not get involved in electioneering,” Mancini continued. “Nor are we able to accommodate every person who asks to speak at the March. For example, we don’t have capacity for every pro-life legislator who requests a speaking slot; congress is only one small (albeit critical) portion of the March for Life rally.”

I like Fiorina and I liked Walker and Jindal. Unfortunately, the wealthy combover entertainer promised bread and circuses and the press went into a swoon and all the serious idea-based candidates disappeared. She’s the last one left and I have to give her credit for remaining.

I think it’s a shame so many Freepers attacked her so hard. Sure, she’s not a lot of folks first choice, but she’s pro-free market, pro defense, and pro life. And probably as smart as any of them up there except Cruz.

But because she wasn’t in most folks top 3, people just got nasty. Pretty sad, really.

The one thing she has nailed consistently. And more than any other candidate, is how the regulatory state inherently tilts the scales towards larger business. She gets it, because she knows about compliance costs as overhead, and what that means for a business. Everyone else seems to think crony capitalism is limited to pushing regulations and laws that explicitly benefit certain companies. She's the only one to understand that almost regardless of content, a complex legal environment inherently hurts the little guy.

I'd like to see her as veep, and not because she's female. Her understanding of manufacturing blows anyone else's out of the water.
