I can see both sides of this, oddly enough:

1. Old white liberals are the most racist people I’ve ever met. And that is the Oscar jury. So the theory is plausible.

2. On the other side, the movies with black main characters in them last year pretty well sucked.

Forget the Oscars, how about the Nobel prizes?

Shouldn’t we award those based on race, and not genius/merit?
