You missed the point - they want/welcome war, the bloodier the better. Even if Iran suffers huge numbers of dead and dead leaders it is just fine with them.

Just a thought. Why don’t we put a one million dollar bounty on the mullahs in the Iranian government. That should keep their heads down at the very least.
Would the Mullahs feel the same way if we adopted THEIR Rules of Engagement (read: none) instead of the official handcuffs out troops are forced wear?
Would they still insult us if ALL of our aircraft expended ALL of their ordnance on every sortie? You know, kind of a “find something to blow up” set of orders? Our P-47s did a good job on Targets of Opportunity against the Nazis, after all.

There are numerous things that governments have not, traditionally, done. Putting a bounty on heads of state is one. There are unspoken rules for countries the same way there are unspoken rules for societies. Also, I recently read an article by a former intelligence analyst saying essentially, that not only don-t targeted killings work, they tend to strengthen the target-s organization. Where an organization had, on average, only a 67 percent chance of surviving without the assassination, the percent survival of organizations that experienced targeted assassinations was 88 percent. This put the lie to Obama-s drone program.
They may wish to change their minds when you see how President Trump wages war. Awsome, grim and Terrible. they have been spoiling for a fight for decades—if they want it—they can have it. Maybe, when done, we can put the Shahs son back on the thrown—the Mullahs can try to get some mercy from him.
