Ailes is mad at Lowry because this move means, in the ongoing war between Fox News and Trump, Fox News has now "given up the moral high ground." Essentially, Ailes understands, that means his network looks like the unfair aggressor that Trump has accused it of being -rather than a neutral arbiter of the news - all while Trump continues soaring in the 2016 GOP primary polls.
But on Wednesday evening, Lowry appearing on Kelly's program compromised Fox's position in the war by veering down a vulgar path in his attack on Trump. Even Kelly, who also dislikes Trump, clearly was shocked at what Lowry said live on air, reacting "What did you just say? You can't say that!"
Fox has not officially announced that they have reprimanded Lowry, and there are no media reports of that at this time.

Lowry has lost it. I have watched every minute of every debate (but not the undercard, children's table) and this assertion is laughable. An alternate reality. Hating Trump so much that you're willing to try to rewrite history for those who come along and didn't actually hear the things that were actually said in each debate.
The man is a master of the media. Art of the deal indeed.
He did do a phone-in with Judge whats-her-name tonight. She was not aggressive in the interview, asked questions and let him speak. I think they must know each other.
Changing subjects just a bit, but considering what we know now about Megyn and Brit, and about her “when did you stop beating your wife” attacks on Trump right out of the box on August 6, is there any doubt that at least for some the rise to the top goes right through a casting couch. Maybe Ailes and Murdoch now want some of the action after hearing how successful Brit was.
This is old news from around Labor Day, a few weeks after that debate that had Carly scoring points against Trump. Carly was the flavor of the week, for about three hours.
This is four months old; i’m wondering what the point of posting it now is?
Fox News has done a tremendous about-face on Trump in the last couple of weeks, ever since Rupert Murdoch tweeted positive things about Trump. BOR now has Trump on almost every night it seems and lobs SEEMINGLY hard questions at Trump, while Megyn Kelly set up the four NRO yahoos earlier this week with questions designed for them to hang themselves with, which they promptly did.
It’s pretty clear Murdoch, along with many others, have figured out Trump is going to be our next President, and wants to get on his good side before it’s too late.
Didn’t FOX temporarily suspend Col Peters for something less offensive?

Ailes also sees how nicely TRUMP has trumped Me Again Kelly and FOX, in the run up to the FOX debate, by suggesting that she is not an unbiased participant and should be withdrawn from appearing on the debate panel.
Kelly has entertained TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW, several of the NR assassins including Lowry, who each wrote pieces against TRUMP for a special release of the NR rag, er,.... magazine, to take down TRUMP. she will run along with Baier and Wallace.
Now of course TRUMP cares little whether she is there or not, but when he sees an opportunity he does seize it. By the teeth.
Win-Win for TRUMP. If she goes, he has won, and if she stays he has attracted viewers to observe (with a spotlight) HER performance as an “unbiased” panelist, fair and balanced.

People have mentioned that past elections, particularly 19’th century ones were knock-down cage matches by comparison to today. However, have we ever seen an election cycle that so thourally demolishes the underlying media bias (both sides guilty) that fuels the whole thing?
Is that true? Did she sleep her way to her own show on Fox?
A $$$ contract. You don’t think Lowry is on there for free, or at his own leisure. A contributor is the usual designation for semi-regular guests.
But I never realized how dishonest the "conservative" media was. It's not so much an ideological bent like the liberals. It's the financial conflicts of interest that impact their reporting.
Everybody seems connected to some politician in some way or another. There is no "above the fray honest broker."
That has been a revelation to me.

JudgeJeanine Piro is the only class act FNC has. She should team up with Lou Dobbs and Stuart Varney over at FBN and start their own network.
