I wouldn’t say that. But I think he can get as high as 2-3x (16%-24%) of the usual black vote for the GOP in presidential elections.
Thi is the kind of hubris that turns a lot of conservatives and others off of Mr. Trump. It was also reflected in his remarks about shooting people on Fifth Avenue and not losing a single voter.
50% unemployment for blacks in big cities.
They are the most hurry by illegal immigration.
So right. They’ll vote for Trump.
Republicans seem scared of winning for some reason.
As a Black Woman, the current environment in which we live, and the opening of people’s eyes, he can say that.
Well, I dunno about that.
But he IS doing better with the AA community than any other Republican since Grant.
Trump could get 30% of the black vote.
First time Trump was ever on my radar screen was in the late 80’s when Arsenio Hall asked KRS-1 why he respected Donald Trump. And KRS-1 went in to a long deal about how great Trump was.
Trump hung out with Hip Hop moguls.
He shared women with them!
He was popular in the black community well before the more broad general populace got to know him.
That’s not gonna happen but he might depress black turnout.
That seems like a reasonable statement. It is not a boast. It's just a statement, a positive prediction, if you will. But I guess any positive statement can be classified as a boast if you have an ax to grind against the speaker.
I always thought it was insulting and condescending to think the base economic and fairness issues didn’t apply to all segments of our population,
Exactly. It was statement and one, I believe, that will prove to be accurate.
Man, I love this campaign season...
I’m sure that this series of back and forth will get spread far and wide by liberals. ‘Can you believe this guy? He says he’ll get more black votes than Obama! Don’t believe me? Read it...’
And then voters will read ‘The truth is Obama has done nothing for them.’
And they’ll look around and probably agree.
Trump the job creator who says "US jobs for US citizens" has a strong, consistent message for black voters. Add to that Trump, both on Celebrity Apprentice and in his campaign, has not been shy about giving blacks opportunities to thrive.
Obama was never down for the struggle,he was raised as a privileged white boy.
Now the Donald, he was a scrappy....
Oh wait.
Yeah that’s the ticket tell them CHANGE.
Yep.
Blacks love Trump. He is friends with hip-hop artists and named drop in songs.
If only the blacks knew what Hillary was like in Arkansas, they would certainly go to Trump. Then again, maybe not. If she was the over seer in the cotton field, they’d still be bamboozled by her.
Well, if ‘The Apprentice’ is any indication, most likely so.
