Japan accepted only 27 refugees last year and rejected almost all applications, officials said Saturday, as rights groups urged the government to allow more people in.

The country has long been nervous about an influx of refugees into its homogeneous society and has tightly restricted the number it accepts.

Of the thousands seeking refugee status, five were Syrian, only three of which were accepted -- a far cry from the massive influx of Syrians into Europe from the war-torn Middle East nation last year....

Based on their negative population growth, They don’t like each other, let alone muzzle subhumans.

I’m shocked there was a single one.

These 3 probably have accounting degrees, PhD’s, or maybe degrees in law.

It’s also likely they had unusually high incomes and had maybe some documented history of Japanese study, like passing the N1 level of the JLPT, which is a nationally recognized test of Japanese.

Even so, the authorities will probably keep their eye on them, a little.

Yep. And “Rights groups” = lefties seeking to increase their gravy train. Big money in “refugee” politics.

There is very solid backing behind Abe’s stance over the entire political spectrum and it’s not going to change. Japan has seen the havoc Muslim refugees cause everywhere else they go and has decided it is simply NOT going to happen here.

Ever noticed that Asian countries are NEVER called racists by Liberals?

That crap doesn't work there. Liberals prey on weakness. That's why they've been so wildly successful in the West.

We may have defeated the Japanese in WWII but unless we throw out the idiots who have been running our country into the ground the Japanese will still have their country and culture intact while America becomes just another muslim squat hole.

Same could be said about eastern Europe and the Cold War. They have tiny muslim populations and it looks like they want to keep it that way.

...another muslim squat hole.

The Japanese are not about to have a leader like our filthy scumbag Mullah bastar*d Obama lead them.

That’s how a culture survives for thousands of years. The USA is busy committing suicide by letting squatters in who have no intention of becoming Aericans.

Smart.

But if their birth rate continues and they don’t import some people, the Japanese will disappear from Earth. (And they build robots to keep them company in the meantime.)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/01/07/japans-birth-rate-problem-is-way-worse-than-anyone-imagined/

Same problem in Europe. They need immigration to survive. The question is how much of their culture they’re willing to give up in the process.

The US is barely holding steady.

If we had not developed the atom bomb and dropped it on them the war with Japan would have lasted five more years and probably cost a half a million more American lives. I had the opportunity to train with the Japanese Defense Force a few years back and they are as hard as woodpecker lips still today.

I’m surprised they let Obama visit the country.

They must have said, “Okay, you can come, as long as you bow and scrape.”

If my math is right, they only considered 2,700 refugees?
