That’s the way I see it too.
I’m a Trump supporter, but I do not like the idea folks ran away when they could be providing support to Cruz in the daily Caucus.
People come to Free Republic to gauge which way the wind blows.
Then a segment breaks off, and their voice is not here supporting a man or cause they want to be seen as having big support.
Not just dumb, real dumb.
In a couple of months this will have blown over.

I just went to the site to see what’s going on there....I don’t think they intended it to be a slug fest against Fr or the owner here, or the posters. What I saw were people as up set as the Trumpters, who express their anger about Congress and the Government by supporting Trump,....but these folks have no place to go when their own Freeper members Trump them because they’re supporting Cruz.
I also think they’ve got a few kooks there as well...but then nobody is immune to them on line. At any rate the door should be left open for them to come back or even post there and here. I rather like the idea Jim brought the site here.....smart move. Gives all a place then to air what they surely will.
I did note on this thread that it is apparent some do encourage people to leave or say others shouldn’t be welcomed or don’t belong here.....IMO none should encourage that, moderators and the boss will make that determination if and when the moment arises and also who returns.
Meanwhile you and I have had our moments ...as have others... but seem to put the election aside when its getting down to the business at hand. Most do.
So I agree the answer isn’t for people to “run away from home”....but if they do and want to come back, then as the “family” we are here we should welcome them...regardless of words exchanged or rants spoken. That’s what families do!
