Tea Party Founder: Why I Support Donald Trump for President
Breitbart ^ | 1-25-16 | Debby Dooley

Posted on 01/25/2016 1:07:18 PM PST by bimboeruption

As one of the 22 co-founders of the national tea party movement, I am concerned over the fact that our nation has moved away from the principles of liberty we were founded on.

I have been an activist fighting for conservative principles since 1976, so I reject individuals and publications that try to tell me what conservatism is.

I have watched over the years as we have allowed deep pocketed special interests to set the agenda in Washington D.C. instead of we the people. These special interests gain support for their agenda, by even principled conservatives, using their millions of dollars of political contributions. Special interests don’t donate millions of dollars without expecting something in return. That is just human nature.

Donald Trump is not accepting big donations from Wall Street or big banks, so he will not be indebted to big donors whose interests sometimes conflict with average Americans. I am convinced Trump will fight for the best interests of Main Street – not Wall Street. He has already stood up during his campaign to the special interests that have corrupted the political process.

This was never so evident as during the recent fight over ObamaTrade. At a time when other candidates stood with Wall Street, Trump stood with Main Street and for American jobs. He strongly believes in American exceptionalism and will put American interests first.

I believe Donald Trump will expand the tea party movement and will bring in millions of new activists that are needed now and for the future. He has support among the different demographics which the tea party and conservative movement have been working very hard to attract. Because of his wide swathe of support, I believe he will easily defeat Hillary Clinton in November.

I donated to Cruz’s campaign. He was my prince until he pulled that crap with Obama’s SECRET Trade Deal.

Cruz KNEW the American people, and Tea Party Conservatives were against it.

Cruz KNEW the American people were not allowed to read it and admitted he had not read all of it.

Cruz KNEW Obama was for it.

Cruz pushed for it and even tried to make Senator Sessions look like liar because he spoke vehemently against it.

Cruz wrote a column for the WSJ with La Raza Paul Ryan extolling the “virtues” of TPA-PP...an article that was used by Boehner to rally support of ObamaTrade. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/11/ted-cruz-channels-paul-ryan-a-lot-of-misinformation-on-obamatrade-that-you-can-get-on-the-internet/ Then when Cruz saw there were enough votes for it to pass, he voted against it in an attempt to maintain his pro-Tea Party image.

Another thing...Cruz is in favor of increasing H1-B visas by 500%. Check with Numbers USA...they say there’s no need to bring in foreign workers when there are many American kids who have high tech degrees who can’t find jobs.

This finished off Cruz with me and many other Tea Party members.

Glenn Beck has repeated accused TEA Party members who disagree with him on anything of being “racists.” So, she can expect a Beck tirade coming her way in the next couple of days.

Shall I elaborate on Trumps “escapades” ? I know Debbie Dooley and she’s a nitwit, too. She loves to hear herself yap and lately that has been much of getting rid of coal and gas.

I am the founder of the Kona (Hawaii) Tea Party . We rallied here in unison with EVERY announced major Tea Party rally that occurred on the U.S. Mainland. During the entire of 2009 and in to 2010 , at which point Karl Rove came out to Hawaii and convinced the Hawaii Republican Party to do everything they could to undermine Hawaii’s 3 or 4 tea parties . Kona tea party being the largest and most visible tea party group in the entire state . HRP went with Rove’s marching orders and successfully undermined the tea parties on several islands and all the tea party backed Republican candidates were defeated . None have won since .
As a primary tea party founder : I support Donald J. Trump
It’s time to WIN again ! And especially the global war on islamist terrorism . Support our troops ! Go for the throat .

You don’t even freaking listen to Cruz. Try googling it and putting it into context - has been noted here 100s of times, but trumpees only hear the super salesman who will screw us like he does everyone else.
Two judge appointments by trump and you can kiss your rights goodbye, goodbye second and tenth amendments. Goodbye religious freedom. Of course trumpees don’t care about religion. Trump fakes religion like he fakes the wall. I resent that he thinks I am stupid to believe he has ever met God or seriously cares anything about religious foundation, freedom or abortion.

When did Brietbart pass away?

I don't recall exactly, but it has been a few years I suppose. Why do ask? Are you suggesting Trump had some type of rebirth experience since then and that Andrew would consider the Don an authentic conservative now if only he had lived long enough to witness the miraculous transformation?

I watched the video of Cruz calling for increasing H1-Bs by 500%.

I guess you were too busy bashing Trump and Trump supporters to watch it.

People have been known to change.

And people have been known to claim that they have seen the light and changed from their old ways so they could convince the gullible to give them a chance. But if you want to get behind the "Hope and Change" version 2.0 that is your prerogative.

“Donald Trump is not accepting big donations from Wall Street or big banks.”

And he’s not going to accept any donation during the general election? Is that possible?

As with a lot of people, I believe Donald Trump had an epiphany after 9/11.
