Cruz is the most conservative person in the race. He also will be brought down by the GOPe if he can damage Trump. In fact, that is the hope of the GOPe that they can get a one on one between Rubio and Cruz. If neither then have a majority of delegates the convention will select Rubio or a “compromise” candidate.
