Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will be attending Donald Trump's Thursday night event, which is attempting to rival the GOP debate down the street in Iowa's capital city.
According to a tweet, the 2016 candidate will participate in the undercard debate and then head off to Drake University, where Trump is holding his event after bolting from the debate as his disputes continue with Fox News and Megyn Kelly, who is set to co-moderate the event.
Huckabee's announcement is part of a last ditch effort for the 2008 Iowa caucus victor to boost his standing with caucus-goers before Monday. Trump had tweeted earlier Thursday that two GOP candidates had called him about possibly attending the event, which his campaign says will benefit wounded veterans. Huckabee's participation allows Trump to claim a past caucus winner's support for the event.

I plan to watch the undercard debate and then promptly switch channels (before Megyn, Brett and Wallace come on).
I guessed earlier Huck and Carson would be the two.
I got one right so far, lets see if I guessed them both.
They are at different times, but I think he should still pick one. Otherwise, he’s wanting to have his cake and eat it, too. No sitting on the fence - pick one.
Sure, I’ll watch Huck and Santorum and then switch over to watch them basically endorse Trump.
