I am SOOOOO tired of Cruzer persecution complex. I love him, but he’d lose 40 states and everyone knows it. Even him.

You really think he’d do worse than McCain?

You exaggerate, but everyone is in the fratricidal Freeper primary threads.

that’s why he beats hillary by two points in recent polls, the same ones that accurately show trump beating him.

realclearpolitics.com does an average of all running reputable polls.

but i’m sure someone will respond with an intangible or an insult.

they are not supporting trump. they think he will lose (which he wont) OR they want rubio.

they’d rather have hillary than a real conservative.

not a persecution complex. it’s the truth. it’s like animal farm.

the republicans are all now standing on two legs.

And there’s the whole eligibility issue which is not a settled issue much as Cruz wants to believe that it is. If I honestly thought he was a NBC, I wouldn’t care who won between him and Trump. I would be happy either way. But being born in Canada, that’s a game changer to me.

Is there a state that Trump does not lead in? With the possible exception of Texas and by the time the Texas primary rolls around, Trump will be so far ahead, he will take Texas too.

Cruz supporters are setting themselves up for a very big let down. Cruz will most certainly not be the next nominee.

“he’d lose 40 states and everyone knows it.”

Same complex existed in 1976 when Reagan was running in GOP primary. Reagan got pushed aside for Ford who was the ‘safe’ choice and although he was a sitting President, got beaten by an unknown peanut farmer who proved disastrous.

How good was the guy Ford beat for the nomination? He only won in 1980 handily over a sitting President and won again in 1984 taking 49 of 50 states. And that was over a former VP, not an unknown, even taking his home state.

Yeah, go ahead and trash someone who speaks what most Americans want to hear and is the genuine conservative. History can indeed repeat itself.

Maybe 35, but with the same result: Madam President.

Cruz’ time will come - he’s young, and got plenty of it. At this point I’d like to see him as Trump’s A.G., prosecuting the heck out of the crime families of the last 2 Dem administrations. He’d clean things up, make a name for himself, and show that he’s Presidential timber.

I don't know it. The opponent (as of now) will be Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. Cruz already beats them nationally in polling. Getting back to the "Republican" strategists, more Cruz people will go to Trump over Rubio as a backup. I will, unless Trump makes me believe he won't be pro-life as he says he will.

Well, I am equally and SOOOOOOOOOO tired of Trump supporters who can’t face the reality that there are several Republicans besides Donald Trump who could win the 2016 presidential election. Why should we waste this opportunity to elect a GOP president on a man who has been a Democrat much of his life. The man has no consistency and no moral compass. It may hard for some people to see but Hillary Clinton is in a peck of legal trouble and if by some miracle that she survives, she could well lose the nomination to the socialist-leftist. And we’re really supposed to believe that only Donald Trump can win. That’s funny.

Don’t you think the Canadian citizenship will be an issue if he were ever nominated? He’s not a Democrat so you know they would take him to court and the media is counting on this.
Sure, he’s a US citizen but the fact that he had dual citizenship is undeniable and could very well pose a huge obstacle. All the Dems I know talk about it and are chomping at the bit for Birther payback.
