Didn’t vote in that election. Pat Buchanan was my candidate back then (voted for him in 2000).
That is putting the cart before the horse wrt Cruz. I’m waiting to see how that unfolds. I would bet that we haven’t heard the last. (Trump is easier to say because anything there is to come out is already out. And based on the talking point loop, there’s nothing more to come out.)
I have a simple formula. Before I reveal it, it is based on the fact that I have but one vote. In the circles that I frequent, you need to write a very large check to play at a higher level. I won’t do that.
My formula is simple:
1) I vote for the most conservative candidate in any given race.
2) I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER vote for a Democrat.
Trump is not a Democrat, so far so good. But to say that he is the most conservative in the race requires a flight of fantasy that I am not prepared to take. As for Cruz, I can only observe that he is despised by his fellow Senators of both parties. I consider that a big plus.
