Cruz, Rubio and the Gang of 8 and its supporters ALL knew the plan. After the amnesty was granted by the gang of 8 bill, SCHUMER would IMMEDIATELY start crying out “Second class citizens! This is America, we can’t have two classes of citizens.” Dems and GOPe would follow, let by the original gang of 8. It would be a CIVIL RIGHTS issue and the GOP would be scared sh!tless to oppose it, and it would gain bipartisan passage. Everyone knew that. Cruz knew that. They all knew it was a temporary but necessary way to get full citizenship for all illegals. All of the Washington Uniparty was in on it and knew the plan.

He’s right. Cruz not only supported “common sense immigration reform” that legalized illegals during the gang of eight fight, he did it afterwards too, as recently as March of this year, and then for about 9 months he dodged questions and refused to rule legalization out.
Only a Cruzbot can deny the inevitable truth here: Cruz supports legalization and is lying to our faces.

As much as I like Ted Cruz, I’m beginning to believe he can’t win the general. He comes across like a smart lawyer, not as a tough leader.

Kelly rehabilitated Cruz in a one-on-one after the debate. Made it clear that one of the amendments was a poison pill, etc.
You have an excellent point. How could we square having people in this country paying taxes and participating in our society as non-citizens and have that be ‘fair’?
Oh well...Cruz put up a good fight, too bad for him.
He complained about the moderators asking four other candidates to express what was wrong with Cruz's position, and he got booed for complaining.
The Brett Baier interview blew that out of the water already.
Cruz, on the floor of the Senate, spoke of wanting the bill to pass.
He can't come back later and say that his amendments were a poison pill.
I watched the debate and Cruz clearly won the immigration debate. Cruz also did great on the Ethanol ambush. Cruz’s only real weak point was his early battle with Chris Wallace where he tried to crack a joke about leaving the stage if they kept asking mean questions (a reference to Trump that fell flat).
