I don’t see the SC overturning it. First, they are reluctant to overturn a previous SC decision. Second, they are reluctant to create a mess where tens of thousands of marriages are instantly void.

Trump seems to have a good sense of states rights vs Constitutional obligations of the federal government. Makes me wonder if he isn't being tutored by someone real wise on that issue.
You do not have the have the Supreme Court overruling it. All Congress needs to do is withdraw the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and of the lower courts to review state laws concerning marriage. All that is needed is the majority vote of Congress and the signature of the president. BTW, the same action can be used to withdraw the courts' jurisdiction over state laws concerning abortion.

The Court has already overturned 150+ previous decisions.
This is "small potatoes" compared to overturning Obamacare and EVERYONE knows that's gonna happen.
