I'm not sure about that. If the results throughout the evening maintain an approximate 5 points for Cruz behind Trump, the Cruz campaign will take that as an affirmation for their candidate, and it will be 'on to New Hampshire'.
Now if Cruz were in the single digits with Ben Carson, that would be different.

I don’t see how Cruz could put any positive spin on a five-point loss. He’ll have an explanation, though, and it won’t be his fault or that of his campaign.
