OOH THE HORROR! CALL JESSIE! CALL AL! CALL THE NAACP! CALL THE PRESIDENT ! CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL! CALL A LAWYER! THIS KID WILL NEED PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE! CANCEL MARDI GRAS! WE NEED A CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATION!

The comments a rich.

Andre Perry, a New Orleans education consultant, said he was shocked on Sunday (Jan. 31) afternoon when his five-year-old son caught a necklace of Mardi Gras beads studded with plastic Confederate flags (Photo courtesy Andre Perry)

its Mardi Gras! everyone is drunk, stoned, drunk and stoned, or tweaking, and you expect a perfect environment for your kid?

Who the heck takes a 5-yr old to Mardi Gras?

I assume he’ll get a trip to the White House and an audience with Caliph Baraq.

Me. the day time parades a very tame and family friendly. Now the night time parades, that's a different story.

Its kind of like taking a kid to the infield at a NASCAR race.

Its considerably calmer than it was 30 years ago but there are still a lot of drunks doing drunken things.

his 5-year-old son had caught a necklace of Mardi Gras beads studded with plastic Confederate flags, thrown from a float in the Krewe of Carrollton parade.

Did he lift up his shirt?
