Sorry folks, the genie is out of the bottle and is not going back in. Obamacare can not be rescinded, there is nothing to go back to. Everyone knows bummercare is not working and the only this to do is a single payer system. This was the plan all along.
... He has modified his tactics for the time being in order to sound conservative, but he still basically believes in universal healthcare.
I find zero reasons to believe Trump on anything using the old standard of looking at his record, which makes every other candidate look very good in comparison.
Single payer universal health care is now inevitable. What “Obamacare” has destroyed cannot be rebuilt.
And, it’s popular. Think of it this way: On any given day, the ratio of healthy insurance card holders to sick people in need of care is 10 000:1 or greater.
What “Obamacare” has accomplished is to impose on those people costs that the prior system insulated them from.
When somebody presents a plan to remove those costs (to make your insurance “free”, with no deductibles for birth control and Brazilians), he will sweep the nation.
Sure, the sick will suffer, but they are no longer sexy or hot, so who gives a f*** about them?
Bet on Sanders.
Mandates without constitutional authority: SOP since FDR
He would change the name. It would be Trumpcare.
Why is it a lie? It’s what Trump has advocated.
Besides, we can’t really trust Trump. He says what people want to hear. He has no core values. He’s changed positions every few years.
Really? (And no, I’m not being a smartass at all.) I haven’t been able to find anything that indicates any such specifics in Trump’s plan - and I happen to believe that portability across state lines is a major factor in reducing the cost of health care (which is not the same as health insurance). The other major factor in lowering the cost is getting government entirely the hell out of it. Invariably, when government is involved, it always involves price controls, which only serve to drive prices up - no matter the commodity.
I read his book, Crippled America, and in chapter 7, “Health Care Is Making Us All Sick”, he details his visions for health care. NO where does he advocate for single payer, or a system that is one forced on us compelling our participation. On healthcare Trump says,” The government doesnât belong in healthcare except as the very last resort. The main way the government should be involved is to make sure the insurance companies are financially strong in case of catastrophic event, or miscalculation.” He goes into more detail in the book too. It is not the only book he has published where he says this.
“Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own.”
“Our” and “we”. Collectivism. I do not belong to anybody. I am not anybody’s asset.
Tag line.
Sorry forgot to answer you. It’s a lie. He’s clear every rally, meeting and interview. Stop reading the twisted crap. It’s a lie from the apparent king of liars... Cruz.
Click on any link of any rally. Besides why should anybody go out of their way addressing such a pathetic lie.
Out of your own pocket? With your own money?
Medicaid IS waste, fraud, and abuse. Can anyone identify for me where the Congress is granted constitutional authority to create a taxpayer funded program paying for indigent peoples' medical treatment? It must be in Article 1, or in one of the amendments ... but I can't seem to find it.
