Then why did he have a tantrum about it?

Yes, and he lost one one delegate. Yet you would believe he lost in a landslide based on some of the comments here.

Finishing a close second in a field of about 15 is nothing to be ashamed of. Especially when you have a double-digit lead in the next primary.

Mitt Romney came in a close second in Iowa and he went on to the nomination in a cakewalk.

Those writing Trump's political obituary are a bit premature.

It meant a lot to him. He could not take it. He held his temper just long enough to impress people with a gracious speech and a few hours later, he hit the tweet circuit, his home away from home.

Trump is holding it together with masking tape and he may be okay if he wins the next couple of primaries. But his numbers are dropping, his crowds are dwindling and the magic is gone.

Well, it seems to have meant plenty enough to him, what with his childish whining about the outcome.

Trump was polling as the leader, and was just 1201 votes (out of 187,000) from finishing in 3rd.

Trump was pulling in massive crowds everywhere he went, and yet Cruz pulled down more Iowa Caucus GOP votes than anyone in history.

If NH doesn't go as well as predicted (Trump 38, Cruz 13), then none of his big leads in the next dozen states will mean anything. A BIG NH win is now so crucial for Trump that he had two campaign events there today... despite being up by 25 points.
