Ricky Nelson’s “Hello Mary Lou” was written by the late, great Gene Pitney.

I didn’t know that - Gene Pitney - A Town Without Pity.
But, I believe Ricky Nelson sang Hello Mary Lou - no? My mother’s boss’ daughters were much older than me and gave me a bunch of their old 45s (Ricky, Elvis, etc.) and I may have that song on a 45 - I really should see what I have - some oldies but goodies back in the day.
