With due respect for the sentiment, they both want to win. Superbowls could be decided by flipping a coin, but both teams want to win. Trump has built his entire empire on being #1, and Cruz has had the ambition to run for President all his life. Neither one would be anyone’s #2, despite how cool people think that would be.
I don’t care about Trumps personality, his celebrity, or his ideology (or lack thereof), I just want to see a businessman in the White House for once. That’s something we’ve never seen in recent memory and we see the result. I also like having someone who isn’t spending Other Peoples Money to get there. No matter how pure of heart people think Cruz is, those dollars have strings attached, always have and always will.
This worked well the first five months until the wheels fell off. I think it could work again.
Both want to stick it to GOP(e) . How better to do it.
If Trump bows out, would you consider Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburger, George Soros, Warren Buffett, Arnold Schwarzenegger or John Corzine to run in his place?
Romney was a businessman, Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are businessman, would you want them too?
Re post #10. Right on bigbob. Agree completely.Cruz is far from the sanctimonius person he claims to be. He sure fooled me early on. Even donated to his senate campaign.
Well said.
Exactly how I feel. That and if we take just a moment to see Cruz, Rubio, anyone in the WH except Trump, the future becomes clear, it's the past. Again with the poor me, one man can't fight Congress, or I couldn't do it alone. But there would be no secure border, no 2nd Amendment protection, no jobs just the same crony bunch saying not my fault.
