The only thing Cruz apologized for on behalf of his campaign was not getting the secondary clarification story from CNN out to his field staff quicker.

And I wonder why Carson didn't get the clarification out to his field staff.

There was nothing to get away with. Campaign Cruz was absolutely correct to pass that story along to his field reps. And he absolutely does not apologize for it either. He did nothing wrong. The only thing he apologized for was not getting the clarification stories that came out later to his field staff in a more timely fashion. But given the hustle and bustle of the caucuses, I’m not surprised, given the insanity of the caucuses, that the clarification tweet got lost in the chaos. Any fair minded person can see that, unless you have surrendered the noggin God has given you and become a Trumpbot.

And btw, we need Ted to win the primary, if for no other reason than to prevent this from happening in the general:

But Rove explains that at 7:53 the Carson people send out a release saying, We/re here. We/re staying in the race. We/re going to New Hampshire and South Carolina.

And at 8:20 Cruz campaign chief Steve King tweets deceptively: It looks like Carson is getting out of the race...... knowing full well this was inaccurate.

So how does Carl Rove King knew about the updated tweet?

He of course doesn't.

There’s a difference between people speculating on what something means and reporting something. One is opinion, the other (hopefully) is fact. CNN never reported that Carson was dropping out. Some commentators speculated that he was. When Cruz says CNN reported it and his staff just passed it along he’s lying.

And I wonder why Carson didn't get the clarification out to his field staff.

Exactly. It was the Carson's campaign's idiotic statement that started the rumor and it was his campaign's incompetence that didn't clarify it to his supporters.

Carson is not a serious candidate anyway. He took the whole week off after leaving Iowa early Monday evening. Carly Fiorina deserves to be in tonights's debate before Carson.

Yup

Carson knew about the problem at 7:53pm and had time to send to his field captains the message that he is not dropping out.

Did Carson do that?

If he did, then there shouldn't be a problem.

If Carson didn't do that, then why not?

Reagan said something to the effect that Republicans should not speak ill of one another, obviously that’s out the window. The current slate of Republican candidates would do well to revisit that sage advice and put the well being of the Republic (such as it is) over the ever expanding power of the Federal government.
God help us all if we don’t correct this situation.

Which raises the question: How does this idiot talk about people he doesn’t admire?

Instead of sitting on the bench and acting like a know it all moron, why doesn’t Horowitz try running for president sometime. Monday morning quarterbacking is really cheap copy. So Carson decided to go to Florida and everyone thinks they have a better idea as to how he should be running his campaign. It’s Carson’s campaign to run for Pete’s sake and he is entitled to run it anyway he wants to. They have launched into this diversionary tactic to distract the reader from the big elephant in the room which remains the initial back stabbing dirty tricks effort to destroy Carson for personal gain.

At that time some decency was in the democratic party. There is none now and his methods would not work today. The media is much different today also.

Now is not the time for a Reagan, sad to say. It is time for a “Churchill”. Churchill will was the bull dog that got everyone to back down, he was abrasive, and very liberal in his position just prior to being elected.

We need a bull dog..............................

“So how does Carl Rove know King knew about the updated
tweet?”

The same way Rove knows Cruz stole 4 Carson votes x 1500 precincts, of course ... he pulled it out of his whiteboard.

I posted more or less the same thing directly after Rove first talked about this on BOR a couple of nights ago - to no avail.

Sorry to say, Rove has somehow convinced some that the Cruz camp managed to switch 4 Carson voters x 1500 precincts.

It couldn’t be more than 4, because then Rove would have to figure out where the other switched votes went to, and that would open a can of worms for someone other than Cruz - and that wouldn’t do because Cruz was the target.

No reasoning, no questioning .. they simply took Rove’s word for it.

If anybody wants to find out the truth about Dr. Carson, you need to study the church he attends.

I mean, you need to look up the name of the religion his church preaches, and see what they teach.

If you are willing to do that, you will find the answers to Carson’s actions, and you’ll see what he believes about other Christians; like Cruz.
